The hotel's charm lies in its 400-year-old architecture, offering a quaint atmosphere, though it could use some modernization. The staff went above and beyond, especially in accommodating us with a taxi arrangement to Chirk Castle. The nearby landmarks, like the Chirk Aqueduct and Pontcysyllte Aqueduct, provided wonderful family bonding experiences, making our trip nice despite some hiccups with the accommodations. a unique stay in a historic setting.

It took a while for the water to heat up in the bathroom but after a short while it was good. I expect this to be just down to the older hearing system perhaps die to the age of the building

This charming spot was the perfect base for our family adventure! We loved the spacious, clean Triple Room and the friendly staff who made dining a pleasure. The kids enjoyed exploring the nearby park and the revamped restaurant was a hit with everyone!
In my kids' opinion, a bit more entertainment for them would have been great.

My wife and I enjoyed a good overnight stay for a weekend getaway. The staff were friendly right from our arrival. Our room was tidy with comfy bedding and great amenities like tea-making facilities and a fan for the warm evening. The food was a standout, with a delicious steak and ale pie and a hearty breakfast buffet that featured quality local meats. The location was easy to access, and the private parking was a bonus.
Can recommend this hotel.

I recently stayed in this charming hotel, and honestly, the staff were super friendly and accommodating! Plus, the location is ideal, with easy parking at the back and lots of local sights nearby. The restaurant was a pleasant surprise, too - so clean and spacious, and the food? Delish! We had a great meal after conquering the Three Peaks Challenge, and everyone in our group loved it. I'd say it was the perfect end to our adventure!
